Glasgow Lament | Naming Our Losses
This powerful journey explores what holding community grief spaces can look like in communities affected by the collective crises. The film follows the gathering of community workers and activists from food banks, housing associations, migrant justice organisations and climate justice groups. Through the tradition of lament, we bear witness to the grief and pain, burn our sorrows and commit to our resistance. This lament took place on 30th October 2022, on the anniversary of COP26 in Glasgow Green. Breathe organised it alongside community groups and leaders, including Galgael and Lindsey McGhie from Kinning Park Complex. Film narrated by Tess Humble, Glasgow Lead Organiser, Breathe Event Facilitated by Lindsey McGhie, Kinning Park Complex Grief Circle hosted by Tawona Sithole Poem by Victoria McNulty
